Who can take part?
Pregnant people with their partner or person of support

How much does it cost?
Health Insurance covers the costs for the pregnant person.
Partner fee is 140€ which needs to be paid in advance but oftentimes the health insurance will give you a refund afterwards.

 I advise you to ask your insurance about the coverage of the partner fee for a childbirth class.

Postnatal Recovery Classes

For women after birth and their babies
at least 6 weeks after vaginal birth

Price:
Postnatal exercises are free and covered by insurance. The fee for the second part of the class is 48€. Details will be sent to you after inquiry via contact form below

In the first part of the class, we do light exercises for stabilizing and strengthening especially the pelvic floor, but also abdominal and back muscles. The further we progress, the more challenging the exercises become.

In the second part of the class, there will be lots of opportunities for relaxing exchange with other moms and asking questions to an experienced postpartum midwife and soon-to-be lactation consultant. We talk about breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, baby sleep, babywearing, and any other topics you may be concerned with.

There will be some sensory play toys for your baby, they will get to meet other babies, and we will occasionally do some small exercises with them as well as baby massage that may support their motor and cognitive development.

Babywearing Consultant

I am a trained professional babywearing consultant & have hundreds of hours of personal experience babywearing and extensive testing of many different carriers with my daughter. That´s why I can confidently say: choosing the right wrap or carrier is not a simple question of some online research or getting a recommendation of a friend, who has a completely different body type and a completely different baby than you do.

During a home visit, I offer individual support and demonstration figuring out the right option for you. After our appointment, you will feel confident and comfortable about using your wrap or carrier with your baby. Ideally your baby is at least 2-3 weeks old. You can also book an appointment later on if you´re looking for advice for wearing your 4+month old on your hip or on your back, for example!

Main area: approximately south of Stadtpark and north of Harburg, east of Altona and west of Horn.

Price 80€/hour. Most appointments take 1-1,5 hours

For our appointment, I bring lots of different wraps and carriers according to your preferences and a 3kg babywearing doll for practicing. Our goal is to find the best option for your baby´s comfort, your comfort, your body type and individual situation.

My collection of carriers and wraps is a lot more diverse than what you find in a typical baby supply store or on instagram - I work independently from any brand and will not sell you a specific carrier.

Pregnancy Care

I offer:

• help with pregnancy related discomforts such as nausea or heartburn
• pregnancy check-ups for healthy women by turns with gynecologist

Postpartum Care

The first few weeks after birth, I offer home visits in Veddel and Rothenburgsort to check on mother´s and baby´s wellbeing and advise the parents on various topics regarding parenthood. After a few weeks, the appointments will again take place at the following address:

If you do not live in the mentioned area above (Veddel&Rothenburgsort), please understand that I can most probably not offer you postpartum care, especially not home visits.

It is also possible for you to request single "acute" appointments regarding specific questions at short notice if you do not want long-term care or did not find a midwife who can offer you long-term care.
